Why was GA Medical EMS Limited Established?

About GA Medical EMS Limited & Our Clinic‑Link Transport Service

Accessing healthcare should never be stressful,  yet for many people, getting to appointments or day services is one of the biggest challenges they face. GA Medical EMS Limited was created to provide a safe, reliable, and compassionate alternative for those who need more than a taxi, but do not require personal care or medical treatment.

Why We Were Established...

NHS Patient Transport Delays

Non‑emergency NHS transport services are often oversubscribed, leading to long waits, delayed appointments, and unnecessary stress for patients and families.

Risks of Standard Taxi Services

While taxis may seem convenient, they are not designed for vulnerable passengers. Drivers are rarely trained in dementia awareness, safeguarding, or first aid, and standard vehicles often cannot safely accommodate wheelchairs. For people who feel anxious, frail, or need a steadying hand, this creates unnecessary risk.

Bridging the Gap

Between oversubscribed NHS transport and unsuitable taxis, many people are left without a safe, supportive option. GA Medical EMS Limited was established to fill that gap, offering a professional, lawful, and people‑focused service that prioritises dignity, safety, and reassurance.

Our Purpose and Values

We are a Christian‑led company, guided by the belief that every individual deserves care, dignity, and respect. We strive to serve others with compassion, patience, and integrity, treating every passenger as we would want our own family to be treated.

Our mission is simple: To make every healthcare journey safe, calm, and stress‑free.

Introducing Clinic‑Link: Transport & Companion Service

Clinic‑Link Transport is our dedicated pre‑booked private hire transport and companionship service, designed for people who may feel anxious travelling alone, need help navigating busy healthcare environments, or simply appreciate having someone stay with them throughout their visit.

We provide more than transport — we offer reassurance, support, and a friendly face during what can often be a long and tiring day.

What We Do

  • Door‑to‑door transport in wheelchair‑accessible vehicles (WAVs)

  • Help getting in and out of the vehicle

  • Escort into the hospital or clinic

  • Staying with you as a chaperone/companion during waiting times

  • Friendly conversation, reassurance, and emotional support

  • Help with check‑in and speaking to reception

  • Remaining on‑site until your appointment is finished

  • A safe journey home afterwards

Our optional Companion Service provides support during long waits — without entering into personal care.

What We Don’t Provide

To keep our service safe and clearly defined, we do not offer:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, continence support)

  • Clinical care or medical tasks

  • Medication administration

  • Lifting or transferring, such as hoists

  • Medical advice or advocacy

  • Escorting clients into clinical rooms unless permitted by staff

We focus solely on transport and companionship, ensuring you feel supported without crossing into regulated care.

Who Our Service Is For

Clinic‑Link Transport is ideal for:

  • Adults who can mobilise independently or with minimal assistance

  • People who feel anxious about attending appointments alone

  • Individuals who want someone to stay with them during long waiting periods

  • Families who want peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported

If someone requires personal care or clinical support, we will always signpost to appropriate regulated services.
